Unable to connect to the MKS: Cannot connect to host server.xxx.xx: No connection could be made because the target machine actively refused it

Olá,

Onde trabalho existe um servidorzinho safado com Windows Server 2003 e instalado nele o VMware Server 2.0, hoje conectar através do console e recebi a mensagem abaixo:

Unable to connect to the MKS: Cannot connect to host server.xxx.xx: No connection could be made because the target machine actively refused it

Para resolver este problema, iniciei o serviço VMware Authentication Service, não sei o que houve que este serviço ficou down.
